Eric Duenas, Esq.

Eric Duenas, Esq.

Eric Duenas has been practicing law for over a decade.  He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey in 2006.  After graduating from college, Eric relocated to Florida from New Jersey where he obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the Barry University School of Law in Orlando, Florida in 2010.  While at Barry, he received the Book Award in his Criminal Law class and later graduated in the top fifteen percent of his class.  During his third year of law school, he interned the Honorable Judge Marc Lubet and assisted him with legal research during the high-profile Stacey Kananen murder trial.

Eric began his legal career working for the Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel’s Office located in Broward County where he represented indigent Defendants in their criminal matters. Eric represented clients in a range of matters from juvenile cases to serious felonies at all stages of litigation up to and including trial.  Shortly thereafter, he began working in the foreclosure field where he tried numerous cases and handled extremely voluminous caseloads for the banks, while mastering the rules of Civil Procedure.  Eric then broadened his practice and began representing corporate and non-corporate clients in landlord/tenant matters, breach of contract cases, negligence case, and other civil disputes and transactional matters.

Prior to joining the Daniels Law Group, Eric spent several years representing insurance companies against their insureds at all stages of litigation and has unique knowledge and insight on how to litigate insurance matters due to this experience.  He now takes pride in representing insured clients in their pursuit for benefits in their wrongfully underpaid or denied insurance claims against their carriers.  Eric is capable of handling these cases from start to finish and is constantly working, researching, and broadening his skill set to provide his clients with the best possible outcomes in their cases.  Eric enjoys working with insureds rather than insurance companies because this work provides him with a sense of fulfillment, as using his position to help people is something Eric has enjoyed throughout the course of his life.  Eric prides himself in forming a great working relationship with his clients while keeping them informed and up to date on their pending litigation.  Eric takes the time to explain the legal process in an easy-to-understand way to his clients and ensures that every decision made during litigation is made based upon sound legal advice and knowledge and consideration of all relevant facts.

While not litigating cases against insurance companies, Eric enjoys spending time with his wife and four children.
